The images represent the terrors of sexual and physical abuse. Even after the bruises, and physical evidence is gone, the memories of the attack remain. By simply closing your eyes you can feel the predator's hands moving across the surface of your skin. The hand prints in these photos act as a literal visualization of the nightmare that these victims have been subjected to, and will continue to struggle with for their entire lives.

ReplyDeleteI personally think these are some of the best photos I have seen. They are thought provoking, and have such great movement. The first one and the one of the eye are my favorites. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! I love that you have found your medium.
seeing you pictures the way they were arrnaged in crit today I completely gt what you were saying how the girl is going through a flashback where she is remembering all of the abuse she's endured. Great job, as I said in class I think you could go really far with this project and raise a lot awareness
